What the site collects today
This is a holding site. There is no booking form, no account, and no newsletter. Browsing the pages does not ask you for your name or your email address.
The choice saved in your browser
When you choose Accept or Reject, the choice is saved in localStorage under the key madeira-vacation-consent. The value is accepted or rejected. It stays on your device and is not sent to us. We use it only to remember whether analytics may load.
You can remove it by clearing site data for this website, or change it from Cookie settings in the footer.
Analytics
Analytics is not running. A Google Analytics 4 tag can be loaded only when two things are both true: you have accepted analytics, and a measurement ID has been added in the site configuration. That ID is empty, so choosing Accept does not contact Google and does not set analytics cookies.
If an ID is added later, the tag loads only after Accept. Google may then process technical data such as the pages you open, a client identifier, and general information about the device. The tag is set to anonymise IP addresses. The legal basis is your consent, Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. Google may process that data outside the European Economic Area under its standard contractual clauses. You can withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal stops the tag on later page views.
Hosting
The site is served through Cloudflare. Delivering a page uses technical connection data, including your IP address, so the page can reach your browser and the service can be protected from abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure site, Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR. We do not use that data to build a marketing profile.
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. We do not share browsing data with advertisers, and we do not use advertising cookies. If analytics is switched on later, Google would receive the data described above, and only after you accept.
How long data is kept
We do not keep a server copy of your cookie choice. It remains in your browser until you clear it or choose again. We do not run a visitor database. Logs kept by the host follow the host's own retention.
Your rights
Where we hold personal data about you, you can ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction, or a copy of it, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. We reply within one month.
